EQUIPMENT: The poms are to be brought to each practice and game (unless otherwise specified by your coach), and is considered part of the required uniform. If a cheerleader does not have her poms at a game she may be asked to sit out. Please take good care of the poms -- keep them out of the sun as much as possible so they don't fade. Do not leave them in a hot car on a regular basis! If you carry them in their bag they will stay cleaner. Please PUT YOUR NAME on the handle of both poms!!

| JEWELRY: Absolutely NO JEWELRY will be worn during practices or games! This is a GFL rule, and WE DO ENFORCE IT! This is for the girls' safety and is not an arguable point - NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. If your child's ears are not pierced now, please do not get them pierced just before the season starts or during the season because she WILL have to remove the earrings. Jewelry includes anything pinned, clipped, or otherwise attached to the uniform or shoes. This also includes hair wraps and beads in the hair. They are NOT allowed! No other body piercings are allowed! |
GUM: Absolutely NO chewing gum when cheering! This includes practice. This is for the cheerleaders' safety! |
| FUNDRAISING: Loganville Youth Football Association sponsors a program book each year with team pictures and advertising from local merchants. We encourage you to take out an ad to help support our program, and to buy a book as a great keepsake. Sponsorship signs and web site ads will also be available. We will be using a new photographer this season and hope to have a bigger, better COLOR program. |
| PICTURES: Squad and individual pictures will be taken. They are scheduled for Sunday, August 8th. Times will be given out as soon as they are available. Several package selections are available to choose from. Purchase of pictures is optional. Pictures for the program book will also be taken on this date. |
| SPIRIT FEE: Each cheerleader must pay a "SPIRIT FEE" of $40.00, which covers the cost of run-through sign materials, pep rallies, and other miscellaneous expenses such as Xeroxing, postage, ice, first aid supplies, candy and other goodies, etc. This fee must be paid at registration. |
| PRACTICE FACILITIES: Only coaches and cheerleaders are allowed on the practice field. Please exercise common courtesy when at our practice facilities. Please clean up after yourself and your children before you leave (this includes cigarette butts and fast food trash). Do not bring pets to practice. Please do not park blocking any entrances or exits, and do not park in the grass. You must be responsible for all personal property. Please keep children who are not cheering under strict supervision. Do not allow them to throw sticks or rocks, climb on trees, damage cars or other property, or interfere with practice in any way. They are YOUR responsibility; we do not offer babysitting services. If you leave, take them with you! |
CHEER-OFF: GFL hosts a cheerleading competition every year for the girls to compete in their age group and show off a little. All Loganville squads will compete. Entry fee is $15 per girl. It is an individual decision for each girl whether she participates. We strongly encourage all girls to compete. Some squads will add Monday night practices for Cheer-off. Coaches will inform you when extra practices begin.
This fee will be collected the 2nd week of practice. |
