2007 LOGANVILLE RED DEVIL CHEERLEADING
Information and Regulations |
|
| |
PARENTAL ASSISTANCE: At some point during the season, you will be asked to help out at the admissions gate or serving as a volunteer in some other capacity. We always need drink carriers, pep rally planners, sign painters, etc. Each parent is EXPECTED to take a turn to do something. Rest assured that your time and effort will be appreciated by all involved, including your child!
|
COMMUNICATION: Please make sure that the coach or team mom of your child's squad always has a current phone number for you. So often we have parents move, or have their phone disconnected or unlisted, and we have no way to reach them with important information. Please make sure that we have a cell phone number or work phone number just in case. Also, please make sure we have a current e-mail for you. The Director uses e-mails to give you information quickly. It will be sent from cheerLYFA@gmail.com
If you need to get in touch with the Director this will be the quickest way.
Loganville Youth Football Association also uses an automated phone system called "Calling Post" to help us contact large numbers of people in a short period of time. You may receive calls notifying you of schedule changes or cancellations or reminding you of upcoming events, so if you receive a recorded message from Calling Post, DON'T HANG UP! Please stay on the line for important information!
|
STUNTING: In the interest of safety, stunting is strictly regulated by the GFL. All coaches are required to attend a stunt clinic prior to the season. They will be instructed as to which stunts are permissible for each age group. They will also be advised on grouping girls to best perform those stunts. No one will be placed in a stunt group that does not appear ready, or that does not take it seriously. This is for the safety of all the girls. |
CONDUCT: Cheerleaders, parents and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly fashion at all times -- this includes practices, games, pep rallies, and meetings. Nothing can spoil a season faster than bickering and complaining among the parents. We are not able to please everyone all the time, but our common goal is for the cheerleaders to enjoy themselves and to become the best cheerleaders that they are capable of being.
Please keep in mind that everyone involved, from the Director to the coaches to the team moms, puts in many, many hours of hard work strictly on a volunteer basis. If someone can give of his or her time and effort to work with your daughter, that person deserves your respect.
If you are not willing to give that respect, do not sign your daughter up for the program. Remember that your attitude directly affects the attitude of your child, and a good attitude makes a GREAT cheerleader! |
The enforcement of these regulations will be the responsibility of the coaches. Any problems that cannot be resolved within a squad should be brought to the Director of Cheerleading. If a satisfactory resolution still cannot be reached, then the matter will be brought before the Loganville Youth Football Association's Board of Directors, and appropriate action will be taken.
Thank you for your interest in the Loganville Red Devil Cheerleading program! |
